This Privacy Policy describes how Brahma Muhurtham Calendar ("we", "our", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect only the minimum information required to provide the App's core features:

• Location data: With your permission, to calculate accurate local sunrise, sunset, and Muhurtham timings. We do not store or transmit your exact coordinates to our servers.
• Device information: Basic details such as Android OS version and device model — used only for compatibility and crash reporting.
• App usage data: Anonymous, aggregated data about which features are used most often, to help us improve the App. This cannot be linked back to you.
• Voluntarily provided data: If you contact us via email or our contact form, we collect your name and email address to respond to your query.

We do not collect passwords, payment information, contacts, photos, messages, or any sensitive personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used strictly for:

• Calculating and displaying accurate Panchangam, Muhurtham, and Rasi data for your location
• Sending festival and Viratham reminders (only when you enable notifications)
• Improving App performance, fixing bugs, and building new features
• Responding to your support or enquiry messages

4. Sharing of Data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Limited sharing may occur only in these circumstances:

• Analytics providers: Anonymised, non-identifiable usage data may be processed by analytics tools. These providers are contractually bound to handle data securely.
• Legal requirement: If required by law, court order, or government authority.

5. Data Security

We apply industry-standard security measures to protect any information we handle, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. Support correspondence is retained for up to 12 months. Anonymous analytics data may be retained longer in aggregated form.

This App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
